Midland Arts and Antiques
It’s the end of spring break and it went by in a flash. I spent the entire week painting my bedroom floors (which you can read about here) to get my little house ready to sell. Michael and I also drove over to Indianapolis this weekend because one of my students made it into the Herron Art School Junior Art Invitational and I wanted to be there to support him at the awards banquet. After the awards however, we made a beeline for a place we have always wanted to visit but never had the time: Midland Arts and Antiques.
Midland is a massive warehouse full to the brim with art, antiques, collectibles, vintage clothes, and oddities. The retail space takes up two full floors. You really have to be in the mood to wonder and browse if you plan to go. For antique lovers though, there are few better places. I will admit, most of the prices were a bit out of my range. Still, a visit to Midland is like a museum trip, fascinating even if you can’t take anything home with you.
Located right off of Highway 65 in Indy, Midland is a massive warehouse of art, antiques and collectibles.
They’re open seven days a week.
There are boundless odds and ends everywhere you look in this massive space.
There are some major oddities at Midland. You never know what you are going to see.
You can also find some really nice furniture pieces at Midland, like these cool retro stools.
If you are a collector, or just like to buy in multiples, Midland is the place for you.
Two full floors are filled with furniture, collectibles and art.
The space is divided into booths featuring different Midwest antique dealers so there is quite a variety of items for sale.
Where else can you find a boar’s head and antique art deco furniture?
This place is seriously a feast for your eyes, in every direction you turn.
